INTEGRITY

Poetry will not lose integrity

The day it does earn the writer money;

There’s no nobility in poverty

Only just to show authenticity

TELEPHONE BANKING

We are listening to you,

Assuming you get through,

So you’ll have to wait though.

Time is not enough;

Wonder what they do,

When they take your dough.

Makes you want to throw

A phone, a chair or two;

Are you there – hello?

MULTILINGUAL

My French is guttural,

My German is abysmal;

Mandarin – it’s just all

Unintelligible.

My Arabic, it’s comical.

Pashtu? Russian? Lamentable.

Farsi? Jabber like an imbecile.

Me? A spy? Impossible!

I’d be truly terrible

(I’m happy as a pupil !).
